List of Rules

 1. No gum.
2. Be a good friend.
3. Control bodily functions.
4. Always follow directions and listen to the teacher.
5. No teasing or bullying others.
6. Don't waste time when you leave the room - and also when you enter the room. Be punctual.
7. Keep your hands to yourself.
8. Respect other learners by not disrupting.
9. Be supportive when working in groups.
10. Leave toys at home.
11. Keep cell phones turned off in backpacks.
12. Ask for help when you need it.
13. Keep your area clean.

The Canterville Ghost in Teatre Aurora, Igualada

On 26th February we'll be enjoying " The Canterville Ghost " at Teatre de l'Aurora in Igualada. It will be a special version of Oscar Wilde's novel by Transeduca. The Canterville Ghost was first published in 1887. It tells the story of an American family who moves to Canterville Chase, a haunted castle in England, where they meet Sir Simon, the Canteville Ghost. The novel has been adapted to the theatre and the big screen. This is the trailer of one of the most popular movies in 1995. This is an easy version to improve your pronunciation and reading skills while listening to the story. If you explore YouTube you'll find a lot of nice cartoons to illustrate the story like the ones below.

Oscar Wilde and The Importance of Being Earnest

Oscar Wilde (1854-1890) is one of the most important Irish poets and playwrights. He is the author of The Importance of Being Earnest (our green book in 3rd ESO) and The Canterville Ghost (the play we are going to see in Igualada) Learn a bit more about Oscar Wilde by watching this video. The Importance of Being Earnest was first p erformed on 14 February 1895 at the  St James's Theatre  in London. Since then, the play has been played around the world and  adapted  to the cinema and television. Here's a nice subtitled version of Act 1 in three parts.
